While they are not quite intrusive per se, they do have a tendency to annoy a lot of users because they tend to attract your attention to them even though you don’t want them nor are you interested in the notifications that they offer since they have something to do with a part of Facebook that you might not be all that interested in. This makes the state of the navigation bar rather frustrating for the average user since they don’t really use it but are forced to contend with it since it is such an indispensable part of Facebook’s overall user interface.Īnother annoyance that occurs because of this feature has to do with the notifications you receive. However, this is a feature that a lot of users simply don’t want anything to do with which is a big part of the reason why they tend to avoid looking into this feature and taking it seriously. For example, after it launched Facebook marketplace Facebook was obviously eager for people to start using this feature in the hopes that it would end up sticking and therefore provide users with more of a reason to stay on the platform for a longer period of time than might have been the case otherwise. However, this nav bar has been received rather poorly by the average Facebook user, and the reason for this has to do with the manner in which Facebook tends to provide updates to this nav bar, as well as the lack of control the average user has with regards to the kind of experience they can obtain from this feature all in all.įacebook has mostly used the nav bar to promote options that it wants its users to use more often.
